Pianist and Musician
About Sally
A pianist for 14 years, and self-taught for 8 of them, Sally Proudman’s passion for classical music has seen her perform in numerous concerts and competitions, both as a soloist and accompanist. At the age of 16 she won awards at the Newcastle-Under-Lyme Performing Arts Festival and was winner of the Stoke-on-Trent Young Musician of the Year.
Having moved to Edinburgh for university, Sally has been taught by renowned pianist Ingrid Sawers for the last three years. During this time, she has performed in several concerts as a soloist, while also taking an interest in accompanying both singers and instrumentalists. Most recently Sally was répétiteur at the Edinburgh Studio Opera company and Assistant Music Director for their production of Handel’s Semele.
Sally has also used this time to develop teaching skills with private piano students, and is now looking to expand her client base.
Piano Lessons
Looking to begin your musical journey? Or perhaps you are rekindling your love for piano. Sally is happy to teach anyone aged 9 years and up, regardless of skill level or experience. There is no pressure to take exams or perform unless students want to do so, and we’ll learn at your pace.
If you are within the Edinburgh City Bypass, Sally may be able to travel to your home to teach, if you wish, at no extra cost.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: At present Sally is not able to teach at home, so will need to teach at the student’s location.
Sound good? Email with your location, any previous experience and what you are interested in learning.
